PRIVACY — WHAT WE DO WITH WHAT YOU SEND
UPDATED 12 OCTOBER 2026
WE ASK FOR FOUR THINGS,
AND WE KEEP THEM
IN ONE PLACE.
SOTIS Arkitektur AS is a Norwegian company in Oslo, building in Ukraine. This page says, in plain words, what we hold about you, why we hold it, how long it stays, and how to make us stop.
001
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE
The company is SOTIS Arkitektur AS, registered in Norway, at Storgata 14 in Oslo. Anything you send through this site reaches one mailbox, read by the two people who answer enquiries. Nobody else in the studio sees it unless the work itself calls for it.
Write to us about anything on this page. A person answers, not a form.
002
WHAT YOU SEND US
The enquiry form asks for four things: your name, a way of answering you, roughly how large the building is, and where the land is. That is the whole of it. There is no field here we do not need in order to write back, and nothing on this site asks you to make an account.
003
WHY WE KEEP IT
To answer you. If the enquiry becomes a project, the same note becomes the first page of its file — because where the land is and what you want standing on it is the brief. If it becomes nothing, it was a letter we answered, and that is all it ever was.
004
WHAT THE SITE ITSELF SEES
Our host keeps the ordinary record every web server keeps: the address a request came from, the page it asked for, the time, and which browser asked. We run no analytics, we carry no advertising, and nothing here follows you to another site. The site sets no cookies at all. The one thing it remembers in your browser is which of the two languages you chose, and that never leaves your device.
005
WHO ELSE IS INVOLVED
The site is served by Vercel and its two typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so those companies see the technical record above. Our mail is ordinary business email. We sell nothing to anybody, and nobody with the right to ask has ever asked us for any of it.
006
HOW LONG IT STAYS
An enquiry that went no further is deleted within a year. A project file is kept for as long as we are answerable for the building, which in Norway is at least ten years after handover — and the drawings themselves for longer than that, because a house outlives its architect’s filing system.
007
WHAT YOU CAN MAKE US DO
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask for a copy of it, or tell us to stop using it. Write to the address above and we answer within a month. You never have to say why.
If you think we have handled it badly, you can complain to Datatilsynet in Norway or to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, and you do not have to tell us first.
008
KEEPING IT SAFE
Everything here is served over an encrypted connection. Project files live on company machines behind two-factor sign-in, and they are not carried onto a site on anything we would mind losing. If that fails and your information is in it, we tell you within three days.
009
PHOTOGRAPHS OF FINISHED HOUSES
We photograph what we build and we publish some of it, here and elsewhere. A house is only ever published with the owner’s written consent; the location is never given more precisely than the region; and consent can be taken back — a published project comes down when the people living in it ask for that.
010
OTHER SITES, AND CHILDREN
Where this site leads somewhere else, that place has its own policy and we do not answer for it. We knowingly take nothing from anyone under sixteen, and if that has happened, write to us and it goes.
011
CHANGES
The date at the top is the day this was last changed. If it changes in a way that matters, the people whose enquiries we still hold are told; otherwise the date is the notice.
SOTIS is a practice invented for a design case study. The site collects nothing: the enquiry form transmits nowhere, and there is no mailbox behind it.
